Week 16 – 5th Fruit of the Spirit

Fruits of the Spirit – Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control

Kindness is one of the greatest gifts you can bestow upon another.  If someone is in need lend them a helping hand.  Do not wait for a thank you.  True kindness lies within the act of giving without the expectation of something in return.

As someone quoted, “I shall pass this way but only once; any good therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show – let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.”

Kindness is an inner desire that makes us want to do good things, even if we do not get anything in return.  It is the joy we receive that drives these simple acts.  When we perform acts of kindness, driven solely by an insatiable desire to love one another, there is kindness in everything we think, say, and do.

This week we are to look for random acts of kindness.  We are to do nice things for other people and also to observe how other people are giving kindnesses.  We can be kind to people without the expectation of reciprocity.  We can try to do random acts of kindness for people without their knowledge.  We are to post on the Alliances our observations of kindness and how we have helped others with kindness.  It is our week to give more, get more kindness.

What kind of ripple effect do you think will happen?  Do something kind for someone even just a passing smile as you walk by a stranger can make their day better.  Maybe they will then smile at the next person or do something kind in turn.  The more you give the more you get.  The more kindness you give the more kindness you get.  How awesome is that.

In my search for something to continue to write about kindness I came across the following article and could not pass up passing it along.  It was very hard to keep the tears back and the lump out of my throat:

A NYC Taxi driver wrote:

I arrived at the address and honked the horn.  After waiting a few minutes I honked again.  Since this was going to be my last ride of my shift I thought about just driving away, but instead I put the car in park and walked up to the door and knocked.. ‘Just a minute’, answered a frail, elderly voice.  I could hear something being dragged across the floor.

After a long pause, the door opened.  A small woman in her 90’s stood before me.  She was wearing a print dress and a pillbox hat with a veil pinned on it, like somebody out of a 1940’s movie.

By her side was a small nylon suitcase.  The apartment looked as if no one had lived in it for years.  All the furniture was covered with sheets.

There were no clocks on the walls, no knickknacks or utensils on the counters.  In the corner was a cardboard box with photos and glassware.

‘Would you carry my bag out to the car?’ she said.  I took the suitcase to the cab, then returned to assist the woman.

She took my arm and we walked slowly toward the curb.

She kept thanking me for my kindness.  ‘It’s nothing’, I told her… ‘I just try to treat my passengers the way I would want my mother to be treated.’

‘Oh, you’re such a good boy, she said.  When we got in the cab, she gave me an address and then asked, ‘Could you drive through downtown?’

‘It’s not the shortest way,’ I answered quickly…

‘Oh, I don’t mind, ‘she said.  ‘I’m on my way to a hospice.

I looked in the rear-view mirror.  Her eyes were glistening.  ‘I don’t have any family left,’ she continued in a soft voice… ‘The doctor says I don’t have very long.’  I quietly reached over and shut off the meter.

‘What route would you like me to take?’  I asked.

For the next two hours, we drove through the city.  She showed me the building where she had once worked as an elevator operator.

We drove through the neighborhood where she and her husband had lived when they were newlyweds.  She had me pull up in front of a furniture warehouse that had once been a ballroom where she had gone dancing as a girl.

Sometimes she’d ask me to slow down in front of a particular building or corner and would sit staring into the darkness, saying nothing.

As the first hint of sun was creasing the horizon, she suddenly said, I’m tired.  Let’s go now’.

We drove in silence to the address she had given me.  It was a low building, like a small convalescent home, with a driveway that passed under a portico.

Two orderlies came out to the cab as soon as we pulled up.  They were solicitous and intent, watching her every move.  They must have been expecting her.

I opened the trunk and took the small suitcase to the door.  The woman was already seated in a wheelchair.

“How much do I owe you?’  She asked, reaching into her purse.

‘Nothing,’ I said.

‘You have to make a living,’ she answered.

Almost without thinking, I bent and gave her a hug.  She held onto me tightly.

‘You gave an old woman a little moment of joy,’ she said.  ‘Thank you.’

I squeezed her hand, and then walked into the dim morning light…  Behind me, a door shut.  It was the sound of the closing of a life…

I didn’t pick up any more passengers that shift.  I drove aimlessly lost in thought.  For the rest of that day, I could hardly talk.  What if that woman had gotten an angry driver, or one who was impatient to end his shift?  What if I had refused to take the run, or had honked once, then driven away?

On a quick review, I don’t think that I have done anything more important in my life.

We’re conditioned to think that our lives revolve around great moments.

But great moments often catch us unaware-beautifully wrapped in what others may consider a small one.

Week 15 – I Am God’s Greatest Creation

I have taken the liberty to interpret Og Mandino’s “The Greatest Salesman in the World, The Scroll Marked IV”.  Primarily I have changed the word “nature” to God and the word “miracle” to creation.  To some it may not matter but to me it sounds better even though it means the same thing.  In addition I have taken the word “will” out of the scroll.

I am God’s greatest creation.

Since the beginning of time never has there been another with my mind, my heart, my eyes, my ears, my hands, my hair, my mouth.  None that came before, none that live today, and none that come tomorrow can walk and talk and move and think exactly like me.  All men are my brothers yet I am different from each.  I am a unique creature.

I am God’s greatest creation.

Although I am of the animal kingdom, animal rewards alone do not satisfy me.  Within me burns a flame which has been passed from generations uncounted and its heat is a constant irritation to my spirit to become better than I am, and I am.  I fan this flame of dissatisfaction and proclaim my uniqueness to the world.

None can duplicate my brush strokes, none can make my chisel marks, none can duplicate my handwriting, none can produce my child, and in truth, none has the ability to sell exactly as I. Henceforth, I capitalize on this difference for it is an asset to be promoted to the fullest.

I am God’s greatest creation.

Vain attempts to imitate others no longer do I make .  Instead I place my uniqueness on display in the market place.  I proclaim it, yea, I sell it.  I begin now to accent my differences; hide my similarities.  So too I apply this principle to the goods I sell.  Salesman and goods, different from all others, and proud of the difference.

I am a unique creature of God.

I am rare, and there is value in all rarity; therefore, I am valuable.  I am the end product of thousands of years of evolution; therefore, I am better equipped in both mind and body than all the emperors and wise men who preceded me.

But my skills, my mind, my heart, and my body stagnate, rot, and die lest I put them to good use.  I have unlimited potential.  Only a small portion of my brain do I employ; only a paltry amount of my muscles do I flex.  A hundredfold or more can I increase my accomplishments of yesterday and this I do, beginning today.

Nevermore am I satisfied with yesterday’s accomplishments nor I indulge, anymore, in self-praise for deeds which in reality are too small to even acknowledge.  I can accomplish far more than I have, for why should the miracle which produced me end with my birth?  Why can I not extend that creation to my deeds of today?

I am God’s greatest creation.

I am not on this earth by chance.  I am here for a purpose and that purpose is to grow into a mountain, not to shrink to a grain of sand.  Henceforth I apply all my efforts to become the highest mountain of all and I strain my potential until it cries for mercy.

I increase my knowledge of mankind, myself, and the goods I sell, thus my sales multiplies.  I practice, and improve, and polish the words I utter to sell my goods, for this is the foundation on which I build my career and never do I forget that many have attained great wealth and success with only one sales talk, delivered with excellence.  Also I seek constantly to improve my manners and graces, for they are the sugar to which all are attracted.

I am God’s greatest creation.

I concentrate my energy on the challenge of the moment and my actions help me forget all else. The problems of my home do I leave in my home.  I think naught of my family when I am in the market place for this clouds my thoughts.  So too the problems of the market place I leave in the market place and I think naught of my profession when I am in my home for this also dampens my love.

There is no room in the market place for my family, nor is there room in my home for the market.  Each I divorce from the other and, thus I remain wedded to both.  Separate must they remain or my career dies. This is a paradox of the ages.

I am God’s greatest creation.

I have been given eyes to see and a mind to think and now I know a great secret of life for I perceive, at last, that all my problems, discouragements, and heartaches are, in truth, great opportunities in disguise.  I no longer am fooled by the garments they wear for my eyes are open.  I look beyond the cloth and I am not deceived.

I am God’s greatest creation.

No beast, no plant, no wind, no rain, no rock, no lake had the same beginning as I, for I was conceived in love and brought forth with a purpose.  In the past I have not considered this fact but it henceforth shapes and guides my life.

I am God’s greatest creation.

And God knows not defeat.  God emerges victorious and so do I, and with each victory the next struggle becomes less difficult.

I win, and I become a great salesman, for I am unique.

I am God’s greatest creation.

I wish all my new friends to have a Happy 2016.  God bless y’all.

Week 14 – Rudy and Four Basic Habits

For this week’s assignment we were given an assignment to watch one or all four films and linking the four habits that we have been practicing that make up persistence:

  1. Definite Major Purpose (DMP), having a definite purpose backed by a burning desire for its fulfillmentrudy-quote
  2. Positive Mental Attitude (PMA), a mind closed tightly against all negative and discouraging influences, including negative suggestions of relatives, friends & acquaintances.
  3. Plan of Action (POA),  a definite plan, expressed in continuous action
  4. Master Mind (MMA), friendly alliances with one or more persons who will encourage one to follow through with both plan and purpose.

Not paying attention to the instructions given I watched all four before I realized the requirement was to watch at least one.  It definitely was worth watching all four films.

It was hard to decide but the movie that really inspired me the most was the movie called Rudy

Cool Runninghowever each movie illustrated special points, for example:  I thought Cool Running concentrated on teamwork.  I learned more about faith from October Sky.October SkyDoor to DoorI thought Door to Door highlighted persistence.

Rudy the Movie

Rudy is based on the story of Daniel E. ‘Rudy’ Ruettiger, determined to overcome the odds and fulfill his dream of playing for Notre Dame football team despite being told that he was “too small” to play college football.

I learned more about touching and feeling your dreams from Rudy this week and I learned more about myself by cultivating the observer within – and allowing myself to believe those observations.

DMP – Rudy clearly had the edge in a rock-solid definite major purpose and burning desire.

PMA – Positive Mental Attitude:  All throughout the movie there is evidence of Rudy’s positive mental attitude. His brothers laughed at him when he announced that he would play for Notre Dame one day. His Dad tells him to give up his dreams because it hurts those around him. His fiancée wouldn’t wait for him to finish the university.  With all of these negative and emotional influences, Rudy persevered.  There were many scenes that stood out; one for example is when he introduced himself to the coach for the first time that will be a part of his DMP even before it happened.  Rudy wasn’t even in that university to be considered to be on the team, and yet replies as though he is already on the team and tells the coach that he looks forward to working with him.

POA – Plan of Action:  In order for Rudy to play for the Notre Dame he had to attend the University of Notre Dame.  Due to his marginal grades he had to do his early college work at the nearby Holy Cross College.  He put in a lot of work despite being told there was only a slim chance he would be able to attend University of Notre Dame.

MMA – Master Mind Alliance:  There were several people that rooted for Rudy and his dream. And when Rudy needed it, they pushed him to keep chasing his dream.

When we hold our dream close;  live it every day;  and surround our self with positive believers, concentrate our efforts to achieving our dreams, it will come true.  It’s easy to become distracted by other things that life throws at us or to just give it up because we allow the naysayers to suck our passion out of our dreams.  It’s a choice that is presented to us several times every day. What we choose is what determines how much closer we are at the end of the day and where we start from for the next day.

Week 13 – Gratitude and NARC

While “Happiness & Harmony” were part of what we received in Week 13 Webcast, it is not what I am going to focus on this week.

In this week’s lesson we were also directed to focus on gratitude.  I spent time this week directing my thoughts on the past week and the things that I am grateful for.  We learned that gratitude is a cause not an effect: if we focus on gratitude, it grows!  Gratitude is powerful!

The exercise of creating additional GRATITUDE cards was also incorporated in our practice this week. Recording my thoughts at the end of each day has strengthened my faith and renewed my purpose.

On one of my gratitude cards I wrote, “I am immensely grateful for my Master Keys Quest”.

On one of my achievement cards I wrote, “I have accomplished my Master Keys Journey through Week 13.

As we end one year and think ahead to a new one I am grateful to have been introduced to the Master Key Master Mind Alliance system.  I am grateful now to have this tool in my toolbox!

Now, in addition to all the reading, writing, listening, exercises, and all else we have been doing in the past 12 weeks, in week 13 we learned the technique of Neurological Associative Reactive Conditioning (NARC) that turns a previously painful experience into a pleasurable one.  So now there is pain attached to not doing the work and pleasure in performing the work. This is an instantaneous shift in mindset.  We need to focus on the main thing which is the main thing that will drive our business forward and not get distracted by the little things.

This is a fascinating way to train our brain, for example, to be able to make prospecting calls not only NOT stressful and NOT fearful but FUN.  It’s a technique of using pleasure AND pain to our advantage.

My primary purpose for taking this course was in the hopes of finding the “silver bullet” that would allow me to do just that — prospect effortlessly and without fear.  I have  had some success with it so far during the course but I have also had periods of sliding back to the old blueprint.  Not doing these things will cause huge pain in not attaining my Definite Major Purpose (DMP).

While finding the “silver bullet” is why I took this course, what I am learning and experiencing in this course is way above and beyond what I ever could have imagined.

The science of Neurological Associative Reactive Conditioning  is a system that describes the process of change in human beings and is based upon the premise that there are two determining reasons for human behavior:1) the need to avoid pain and/or 2) the desire to gain pleasure.

multitasking

In order for the brain to efficiently evaluate how to rapidly accomplish these two tasks, you must create neuro-associations (associations within the nervous system) that are used to instantly determine the meaning (pain/pleasure) of situations, people, things, sounds, emotions, etc. These neuro-associations are the directing force of all human behavior.

As martial artist Bruce Lee once put it “Emotions are your enemy. When you get into emotion you lose your mind” When you lose your mind you lose your focus, when you lose your focus you lose you ability to perform at your peak. NARC teaches the athlete to mentally condition themselves so that they can manage their emotions to maintain focus and concentration to enter and stay in the zone.

NARC techniques include: guided imagery; trance induction; personal values and rules realignment; eliciting and changing submodalities to change internal negative neuro-associations; phobia cures with double disassociative technique; transformational vocabulary; visual, auditory and kinesthetic, anchoring; and pattern interrupts.

NARC is a powerful therapy.  Below are just a few areas that can be overcome with NARC:

  • Phobias & fears
  • Addictions (drug, alcohol, food…)
  • Emotional trauma
  • Bad habits
  • Weight loss
  • Depression
  • Procrastination
  • Self sabotaging behaviors
  • Performance slumps
  • Learning disabilities

This system was based upon Korzybski’s work stating that a person’s experience is not reality but a representation of reality.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is also based upon the primary psychology and language strategies utilized by Dr. Milton Erickson to shift internal representations and, therefore, the experience and behavior of patients.

In order for the brain to efficiently evaluate how to rapidly accomplish these two tasks, we must create neuro-associations (physical and psychological associations within the nervous system) that are used to instantly determine the meaning (whether painful or pleasurable) of situations, people, things, sounds, emotions, etc.

According to this theory, these neuro-associations determine our representations of reality and are, therefore, the directing force of all human behavior.

I’m looking forward to trying out the NARC technique.  If I can conquer call reluctance there is NO stopping me. I believe this is the number one reason people fail in Network Marketing.

Week 12 – Clear and Focused

It is becoming apparently clear that in order to achieve a desired outcome we simply must be able to concentrate our thoughts purely on one objective and at the same time banish fear, anxiety or discouragement, which are also powerful thought forces, but sends the things we desire further away, so that it is often “one step forward and two steps backward” in our thinking process.  In addition we need to ignore the negative obstacles of the outside world.

This week we read that “We must first have the knowledge of our power; second, the courage to dare; third, the faith to do it”.

As illustrated in Master Key 12:4 “The only way to keep from going backward is to keep going forward.  Eternal vigilance is the price of success.  There are three steps, and each one is absolutely essential.  You must first have the knowledge of your power; second, the courage to dare; third, the faith to do.”

It is becoming clear that we don’t look outside of our self for the answers.  The answer is within and is accessible through thought and connecting to power by sitting still.  There we each find the unchangeable principles and learn to adjust ourselves to the natural laws.  It is in the Silence that we get into touch with the Omnipotent power of the subconscious mind from which all power is evolved.  He who desires wisdom, power, or permanent success of any kind will find it only within; to distance the watchmen at the gate from the noise and distractions of the moment… we surrender to the world within… we’re at peace!

There is a price to pay… it’s our faith and belief… remember that only in absolute silence may one come into contact with Divinity itself; may learn of the unchangeable law and open for himself the channels by which persistent practice of the five P’s and concentration lead to perfection.

Finally, when love is the force behind your creative thought there will be nothing to stop the manifestation of your true desire.

With this as our basis we can construct our ideal business; we can go after our ideal home, ideal friends; ideal environment; in other words we can go after our dreams and desires without limitations and we will not be restricted as to material or cost.  The illustration continues in Master Key 12:5 “Thought is omnipotent and has the power to draw on the Infinite bank of primary substance for all that it requires.  Infinite resources are therefore at your command.”

Multitasking Is Out Laser Focused Concentration Is In.

multitasking

Reference Master Key 12.0  “The time and thought which most persons waste in aimless effort would accomplish wonders if properly directed with some special object in view. In order to do this, it is necessary to centre your mental force upon a specific thought and hold it there, to the exclusion of all other thoughts.

Then Haanel goes on with an illustration “If you ever looked through the viewfinder of a camera, you found that when the object was not in focus, the impression was indistinct and possibly blurred, but when the proper focus was obtained the picture was clear and distinct.”  This illustrates the power of concentration.

He goes on and states “Unless you can concentrate upon the object which you have in view, you will have but a hazy, indifferent, vague, indistinct and blurred outline of your idea and the results will be in accordance with your mental picture.”

In other words it has to be clear and focused.

“But your ideal must be sharp, clear-cut, and definite; to have one ideal today, another tomorrow, and a third next week, means to scatter your forces and accomplish nothing; your result will be a meaningless and chaotic combination of wasted material.”

Knowledge does not apply itself. The manifestation will only occur through taking consistent action in the direction of our purpose.  Once that begins, there won’t be any time or attention to distraction. Intention governs attention.

This is where the mental diet and having no opinion is so powerful, as it makes us deliberate and positive, without a judgment that might interfere with our focus on correct thought.  In Master Key 12.18 Haanel says, “Thought impregnated with love becomes invincible.” And finally, in 12.21, “it is the combination of Thought and Love which forms the irresistible force, called the law of attraction.”

This week our assignment includes writing out at least 30 index cards with positive things we have accomplished in our life.  It is a very good exercise (one that I have never focused on in the past) because a life of quiet desperation is more focused on survival, not so much on successful accomplishments.

In addition to continuing to be the observer, this week we should continue to focus on the Law of Growth – what we think about grows.

Thanks for reading,

Bill Trump

Week 11 – “I’m Gonna Be A Diamond Someday”

This is such a tremendous journey and each week I feel the cement falling off.  My mind is being filled with positive material and there’s very little time for me to dwell on the negative thoughts.  I have tried to do this most of my life but it was not in a focused environment like the Master Key Master Mind Alliance.

Some days have been a breeze for me, while others have been quite challenging. This week has been a challenging one, filled with confusion.

But, never fear… I will persevere.  “I will persist until I succeed.”  This is the crux of Og Mandino’s Scroll-III.   “I will never consider defeat and I will remove from my vocabulary such words and phrases as quit, cannot, unable, impossible, out of the question, improbable, failure, unworkable, hopeless and retreat.”

First, I came out of my trance during one of my sits realizing this: I get to choose.  I get to choose how I feel about everything and only I can do something about it.

Second, I have a lot to be thankful for.  When I was four years old I was left in an alley with my brother and sister.  We were fortunate to be placed in a foster home to grow up together.  I went into the Air Force and received an electronic engineering degree.  I worked at NASA for over 40 years.  During the way I picked up a accounting degree and while working at NASA I started an accounting and tax service.  Currently I retired from NASA and continued running the accounting and tax service which grew in leaps and bounds.  This reminds me of our lessons in Week 5:

I promise to keep these 4 promises:

Wherever I go I bring a gift.  I may bring a compliment, prayer, trinket, flower…But I promise I will give something to every person I encounter.

I promise to be a grateful receiver of the gifts that surround me, noticing nature,  Kindnesses, smiles and compliments, which I gladly receive with a “thank you.”

I promise to give the hope for joy, affluence, kindness and love, consciously with every encounter, regardless of the brevity.

I promise to give without expectation of reciprocity from the channels I enrich because I know I am in the dynamic flow of giving and receiving.

I always keep my promises;   William E. Trump

Third, I realized I need to sow seeds.  My POA portion has got to me this week.  I have a mental conflict between knowing what “I am supposed to do” versus the memories of the past tries, where my attempts were failures.

Also, during the sit this week I have been concentrating on the Bible passage about what Jesus said as illustrated in Master Key 11:25 “Believe that ye receive and ye shall receive”

I am reminded to keep focused.  One of the triggers I use is the musical trigger:

“Hey I’m just an old chunk of coal
But I’m gonna be a diamond some day
I’m gonna grow and glow
Til I’m so blue pure perfect
I’m gonna put a smile on everybody’s face
I’m gonna kneel and pray every day
Lest I should become vain along the way
I’m just an old chunk of coal now Lord
But I’m gonna be a diamond some day

Now I’m gonna learn the best way to walk
I’m gonna search and find a better way to talk
I’m gonna spit and polish my old rough edged self
Til I get rid of every single flaw
I’m gonna be the world’s best friend
I’m gonna go round shaking everybody’s hand
Hey I’m gonna be the cotton pickin’ rage of the age
I’m gonna be a diamond some day”

I don’t usually listen to CW but this is a great song for chipping away the cement:

Another tool I use is I go back to 1981 when I wrote several poems that reminds me it is my choice; It reminds me to give Praise and Delight; and it reminds me to Sow A Seed:

PASSPORT TO ETERNITY

This epistle is not sent your way
To arouse entangled suspicions
Because this inspiration is conveyed
Without strings or conditions —

Since we pass through this world
But only one time
I wish to brighten your life
With a few verses that rhyme —

To pursue this sender’s identity
With clues you try to invent
Will only destroy the true meaning
With which these lines are sent —

For I may be the one
You distrust, disapprove or reject
Or I may be the person
You love, cherish and respect —

Translating between these lines
Could ignite thoughts of indifference
Due to our acts of interpretation
And misconceived inference —

However, if we could push aside
Pressures – peer, work or otherwise
And greet each day in tranquility
With love in our hearts and realize —

Limitations – we impose on others
By creations of first impressions
Thus, concealing a legion of friends
And their hearts true possessions —

Therefore, with all sincerity,
Faith, Hope, and Charity
I intercede a prayer for you
To have a Passport To Eternity.

YOUR CHOICE

Without option, a small grain of wheat
Is fed to swine or ground into flour
Chance only, will it find a sower’s hand
To be planted and generate its power —

Unlike the minute grain of wheat,
Terminating to one of three fates,
The discretion to choose our destiny
Is given to us by He who creates —

Since we possess this “God-gifted” option
To multiply our value a hundred fold,
We need not choose to be devoured
Or ground under rocks as time grows old —

If we choose to greet each morning
With praises and delight
For the protection provided us
From the dangers in the night —

And choose to meet the day
Like the sun shines bright
We can expect our coming load
To be exciting and light —

Thus, clearing our thoughts
From all negative things
Giving room to meet the challenges
That life really brings —

Our Father in Heaven
Wants us all to believe
We can accomplish the tasks
That we dare to conceive —

PRAISE AND DELIGHT

As we prepare the days course
To accomplish our dreams
With the universal advantages
And opportunities, it seems —

Our plans should include
A genuine interest for others
By sharing our concerns
For sisters and brothers —

When our journey brings us
To the middle of the day
This is the time to pause
With thoughts of praise and say —

“Thank you my Father In Heaven
for guiding me through
the challenges encountered
that made me feel blue” —

“And thank you my Father
With all praise and delight
For the events that happened
To make my world just right” —

As the sun fades over the horizon
And we’re still feeling high
Because our day was a challenge
And we gave it a good try —

We can prepare for the evening
As we let out a grateful sigh
Knowing the night has promise
Of the stars in the sky —

Which gives us the assurance
That He who lights our way
Has a plan for us to live
Another, happier and brighter day.

SOW A SEED

Like the supporting silken strand
That holds a web in its place
We exist by a perpetual lifeline
Linking us to our Father in space –

So, with a cheerful, joyous attitude
And a happy, smiling face
Continue this “lifeline” of enlightenment
To exhort and glorify God’s grace —

Pass this perpetual strand of tidings
To friends, strangers and others
Conveying your care and concern
For neighbors, sisters, and brothers —

For every person you chance to meet
At home, at work, or at play
Believe it is they, in mutual silence
That has this heartfelt greeting to say —

“Until your mortal days are numbered
And your time comes to the very end,
You will always be a welcomed neighbor
And a peace saluted friend.”

Week 10 – 5 P’s = Power which Creates Wealth

Peace + Patience + Persistence + Perseverance + Passion = Power which Creates Wealth.   Thus, wealth in whatever it may be is the offspring of power.

First, where there is trust there is peace.  An excellent example of this statement is that we put our trust in MKMMA to provide us the mechanisms to guide us to think for ourselves.  i.e., we put trust in the process; trust in the relationships; trust in ourselves; trust in God; and trust is the glue that solidifies the inward and outward manifestation of expansion in all areas of our life.  With deep meditation and reflection, our quiet time, leaves us stress free, thus making a space for answers to our questions that come to mind, thus peace.

Second, patience: steady, even-tempered or willingness to suppress restlessness or annoyance.

Third, for week ten of The Master Keys, It’s quite clear as OG Mandino writes in Chapter Ten, Scroll Marked III “I will persist until I succeed.  I will try, and try, and try again. Each obstacle I will consider as a mere detour to my goal and a challenge to my profession. I will persist and develop my skills as the mariner develops his, by learning to ride out the wrath of each storm.  I will persist until I succeed.”

And remember…I am reminded to “always take another step” that “I will persist in the knowledge that each failure will increase my chance at success in the end” and “never will I allow any day to end with failure.”

Fourth, perseverance: to continue a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition. “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” ~Phil 3:14

Fifth, passion: any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling.

The source of all power is from the world within, the Universal Fountain of Supply, the Infinite Energy of which each individual is an outlet.

The secret of power is service.

Power is from within us, we cannot receive it unless we give it.  ~Give more get more~

Thus,

Attainment of Wealth or Power = Earnest Desire or Feeling + Confident Expectation or Thought + Firm Demand or Will

I can be what I will to be.

Week 9 – The Power of Truth

I am so grateful for the clarity and focus which Master Keys Master Mind Alliance has brought to the power we have to change our lives.  Help us zone in on what is right and true.  Guide us to think actively, purposefully, with such passion, and enjoy the benefits of a life lived on our terms.

One of the things that stood out in our lesson this week is that we have the ability to choose the feeling that links to our thoughts. This is powerful.   We are always being bombarded with thoughts but we can choose which ones to give power.   A thought with feeling attached is given power.  The thoughts we give power to increases positively and the ones that we starve wither and die. This is powerful not only to cut out thoughts we don’t want but also to supercharge thoughts we do want. We can super charge positive thoughts by attaching emotion and enthusiasm to them.  Thoughts charged with emotion create beliefs.   Once we create a belief our subconscious works to bring it into our lives.  Thus, what we think about grows.  As illustrated in Master Key 9:6 “To think correctly, accurately, we must know the “”Truth.””  The truth then is the underlying principle in every business or social relation.  It is a condition precedent to every right action.  To know the truth, to be sure, to be confident, affords a satisfaction beside which no other is at all comparable; it is the only solid ground in a world of doubt, conflict and danger.”

With our thoughts grounded by our imagination, we enter a whole new arena.   Being prepared with a compass and a magnifying glass, the journey began, the journey of seeking out the truth, seeking our bliss.   Arming ourselves with love and a new shield; sitting daily and discovering the amazing place which is called the “world within.”   Just like, with all things the task gets easier and the results improve with patience, practice, and persistence sitting in quiet, totally relaxed, our imagination starts its vibration, pulling together all our hearts desires, breathing life into them. The “I” waits patiently for the manifestation, knowing the seed has been planted.  As illustrated in Master Key 9:7 “To know the Truth is to be in harmony with the Infinite and Omnipotent power.  To know the Truth is, therefore, to connect yourself with a power which is irresistible and which will sweep away every kind of discord, in-harmony, doubt or error of any kind, because the “”Truth is mighty and will prevail.””  The illustration continues in Master Key 9:9 “Every action which is not in harmony with Truth, whether through ignorance or design, will result in discord, and eventual loss in proportion to its extent and character.”

The question is:  How then are we to know the truth in order to attach this mechanism which will relate us to the Infinite?  It is all brought together in the Master Key 9:11 “We can make no mistake about this if we realize that truth is the vital principle of the Universal Mind and is Omnipresent.  For instance, if we require health, a realization of the fact that the “”I”” in us is spiritual and that all spirit is one; that wherever a part is the whole must be, will bring about a condition of health, because every cell in the body must manifest the truth as we see it.  If we see sickness; they will manifest sickness; if we see perfection they must manifest perfection.  The affirmation, “”I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious and happy””, will bring about harmonious conditions.  The reason for this is because the affirmation is in strict accordance with the Truth, and when truth appears every form of error or discord must necessarily disappear.”

“I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving harmonious and happy”

Week 8 – Linking and Connecting

Reviewing Part 7 of the Master Keys System helps us connect the dots as we move into Part 8.

Master Key 7:4 “Work is necessary – labor, hard mental labor, the kind of effort which so few are willing to put forth.”  (Breaking our cell’s addiction to peptides and creating new peptides for our cells)

Breaking the addiction as illustrated in Master Key 7:5 “The first step is idealization. It is likewise the most important step, because it is the plan on which you are going to build.  It must be solid; it must be permanent.  The architect, when he plans a 30 – story building, has every line and detail pictured in advance.”

As stated in the Master Key 7:7 “Then comes the process of visualization.  You must see the picture more and more complete, see the detail, and, as the details begin to unfold the ways and means for bringing it into manifestation will develop.”  This is where we ramp up our visualization process with Press Releases, Dream Boards, and Movie Posters helps us with our visualization.

As we also learned in week 7 Idealization – Visualization – Manifestation , Master Key 7:13 “Clearness and accuracy are obtained only by repeatedly having the image in mind.  Each repeated action renders the image more clear and accurate than the preceding, and in proportion to the clearness and accuracy of the image will the outward manifestation be.  You must build it firmly and securely in your mental world, the world within, before it can take form in the world without…”

We move into Part 8 Sentence 2 – Law of Growth – The Real Law of Attraction – As the one purpose of life is growth, all principles underlying existence must contribute to give it effect.  Thought, therefore, takes form and the law of growth eventually brings it into manifestation.

Law of Substitution – Master Key 8:4 “We all know that this is by no means easy.  Mental habits are difficult to control, but it can be done and the way to do it is to begin at once to substitute constructive thought for destructive thought.”  Sentence 5  “If your thought has been critical or destructive, and has resulted in any condition of discord or in-harmony in your environment, it may be necessary for you to cultivate a mental attitude which will be conducive to constructive thought.”

Imagination is found to be of great assistance in helping us to break the addiction of the past as stated in Master Key 8:15 “Constructive imagination means mental labor, by some considered to be the hardest kind of labor, but, if so, it yields the greatest returns, for all the great things in life have come to men and women who had the capacity to think, to imagine, and to make their dreams come true.”

Week 7 – Attainment = Feeling + Thought + Will

First let me mention that I have had some challenging medical issues lately and I am in the process of catching up.

I realize that I am a continued Work In Process.

I have always looked for help from “without,” never realizing all the help I needed was “within.” “I”

I believe that everyone has this idea that it is easy to control their thoughts, and until recently I was one of them.  A few weeks ago the Master Mind group I am part of started these lessons of eliminating certain thoughts for entire weeks at a time.  If we think we have Mastered your mind and control your own thoughts… try to not have an opinion of anything for 2 solid weeks.  I found that virtually every thought we have is an opinion of something.

For a long time now I have considered myself to be a positive minded person.  Many years ago I quit watching all the negativity on the news and even on the internet.  Not being bombarded with negativity by itself made me feel better and more positive.  This week I found out I still had a considerable way to go to be truly positive. As part of our Master Key Master Mind Alliance course, this week we were to eliminate all negative thoughts for 7 days.  As soon as we have a negative thought exceeding 7 seconds we have to start your 7 days over from the beginning.  I quickly found out I could not even get out of bed in the morning before I had to start my seven days all over.  I still have not accomplished this.  This exercise really highlighted how we live in a world of negativity and trying to eliminate it is a difficult task.

To gain control of our subconscious mind we have to first quiet the conscious mind so that we can draw a clear mental picture of what our future looks like in detail.

In section 13 of lesson VII; “Clearness and accuracy are obtained only by repeatedly having the image in mind. Each repeated action renders the image more clear and accurate than the preceding, and in proportion to the clearness and accuracy of the image will the outward manifestation be. You must build it firmly and securely in your mental world, the world within, before it can take form in the world without”.  Charles Haanel

It is easy to let our mind wander while developing this clear mental picture in our mind, however, each day it seems to get a little easier.  It all comes down to developing focus… this has been one of the main reasons I started my journey with the Master Key Mind Master Alliance group.

Again, I have found out that I am a “Work In Process” and that I will be until the last day I spend on this earth.
