Week 8 – Linking and Connecting

Reviewing Part 7 of the Master Keys System helps us connect the dots as we move into Part 8.

Master Key 7:4 “Work is necessary – labor, hard mental labor, the kind of effort which so few are willing to put forth.”  (Breaking our cell’s addiction to peptides and creating new peptides for our cells)

Breaking the addiction as illustrated in Master Key 7:5 “The first step is idealization. It is likewise the most important step, because it is the plan on which you are going to build.  It must be solid; it must be permanent.  The architect, when he plans a 30 – story building, has every line and detail pictured in advance.”

As stated in the Master Key 7:7 “Then comes the process of visualization.  You must see the picture more and more complete, see the detail, and, as the details begin to unfold the ways and means for bringing it into manifestation will develop.”  This is where we ramp up our visualization process with Press Releases, Dream Boards, and Movie Posters helps us with our visualization.

As we also learned in week 7 Idealization – Visualization – Manifestation , Master Key 7:13 “Clearness and accuracy are obtained only by repeatedly having the image in mind.  Each repeated action renders the image more clear and accurate than the preceding, and in proportion to the clearness and accuracy of the image will the outward manifestation be.  You must build it firmly and securely in your mental world, the world within, before it can take form in the world without…”

We move into Part 8 Sentence 2 – Law of Growth – The Real Law of Attraction – As the one purpose of life is growth, all principles underlying existence must contribute to give it effect.  Thought, therefore, takes form and the law of growth eventually brings it into manifestation.

Law of Substitution – Master Key 8:4 “We all know that this is by no means easy.  Mental habits are difficult to control, but it can be done and the way to do it is to begin at once to substitute constructive thought for destructive thought.”  Sentence 5  “If your thought has been critical or destructive, and has resulted in any condition of discord or in-harmony in your environment, it may be necessary for you to cultivate a mental attitude which will be conducive to constructive thought.”

Imagination is found to be of great assistance in helping us to break the addiction of the past as stated in Master Key 8:15 “Constructive imagination means mental labor, by some considered to be the hardest kind of labor, but, if so, it yields the greatest returns, for all the great things in life have come to men and women who had the capacity to think, to imagine, and to make their dreams come true.”

Week 7 – Attainment = Feeling + Thought + Will

First let me mention that I have had some challenging medical issues lately and I am in the process of catching up.

I realize that I am a continued Work In Process.

I have always looked for help from “without,” never realizing all the help I needed was “within.” “I”

I believe that everyone has this idea that it is easy to control their thoughts, and until recently I was one of them.  A few weeks ago the Master Mind group I am part of started these lessons of eliminating certain thoughts for entire weeks at a time.  If we think we have Mastered your mind and control your own thoughts… try to not have an opinion of anything for 2 solid weeks.  I found that virtually every thought we have is an opinion of something.

For a long time now I have considered myself to be a positive minded person.  Many years ago I quit watching all the negativity on the news and even on the internet.  Not being bombarded with negativity by itself made me feel better and more positive.  This week I found out I still had a considerable way to go to be truly positive. As part of our Master Key Master Mind Alliance course, this week we were to eliminate all negative thoughts for 7 days.  As soon as we have a negative thought exceeding 7 seconds we have to start your 7 days over from the beginning.  I quickly found out I could not even get out of bed in the morning before I had to start my seven days all over.  I still have not accomplished this.  This exercise really highlighted how we live in a world of negativity and trying to eliminate it is a difficult task.

To gain control of our subconscious mind we have to first quiet the conscious mind so that we can draw a clear mental picture of what our future looks like in detail.

In section 13 of lesson VII; “Clearness and accuracy are obtained only by repeatedly having the image in mind. Each repeated action renders the image more clear and accurate than the preceding, and in proportion to the clearness and accuracy of the image will the outward manifestation be. You must build it firmly and securely in your mental world, the world within, before it can take form in the world without”.  Charles Haanel

It is easy to let our mind wander while developing this clear mental picture in our mind, however, each day it seems to get a little easier.  It all comes down to developing focus… this has been one of the main reasons I started my journey with the Master Key Mind Master Alliance group.

Again, I have found out that I am a “Work In Process” and that I will be until the last day I spend on this earth.

Week 6 – I Will Greet This Day With Love In My Heart

Chapter Nine, The Scroll Marked II brought memories back to me from 1981.

It was back in 1981 when everything went bad for me.  I mean I was 20 feet under water and I had hit rock bottom.  The whole world was against me so I thought.  I did not know it at the time but that is when I went way into my inner self.  I actually wrote about 4 poems of which I never wrote before this period in my life and I could not write any after this period in my life.  The last one went like this:

Like the supporting silken strand
That holds a web in its place
We exist by a perpetual lifeline
Linking us to our Father in space –

So, with a cheerful, joyous attitude
And a happy, smiling face
Continue this “lifeline” of enlightenment
To exhort and glorify God’s grace —

Pass this perpetual strand of tidings
To friends, strangers and others
Conveying your care and concern
For neighbors, sisters, and brothers —

For every person you chance to meet
At home, at work, or at play
Believe it is they, in mutual silence
That has this heartfelt greeting to say —

“Until your mortal days are numbered
And your time comes to the very end,
You will always be a welcomed neighbor
And a peace saluted friend.”

The word love is not seen in this poem but it was love that wrote it.  And that is how I pulled myself up by my bootstraps and regained more than I had lost.  I am not just speaking about money.  I am speaking more about relationships, friends, family, and neighbors.  Anyway, Chapter Nine, The Scroll Marked II “I will greet this day with love in my heart” means to every human being and to all of God’s creations plus it brings back good feelings and good memories from the past.

All this ties in with Master Key 6:18 “The man who looks within instead of without cannot fail to make use of the mighty forces which will eventually determine his course in life and so bring him into vibration with all that is best, strongest and most desirable.”

Week 5 – The Law of Giving and Receiving

I found out that 90 percent of my mental life is subconscious.  I also found out that I have been mostly drifting through my life.  I learned that I have always been living with the Law of Attraction.  The only thing is that in the past I have not been attracting things I wish for, nor the things I like or the things that I want out of life.   As stated in the Master Key 5:8 “We are today the result of our past thinking… “.

When I applied for a Scholarship to the Master Key Master Mind Alliance program I had no clue what an incredible journey I was embarking on.  Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine the value and depth of The Master Key System by Charles Haanel, nor did I realize how great a book Og Mandino wrote in The Greatest Salesman in the World!  I had started to read the essay, Compensation, by Ralph Waldo Emerson many times but could never get through it.  Since taking this course I have read it 5 times because I was bound to understand it this time.

Haanel has given us this awesome example of a fine Estate that awaits us as illustrated in the Master Key 5:14 “There is a fine estate awaiting a claimant.  Its broad acres…  All the heir has to do is to assert his heirship, take possession, and use the property.  He must use it…” He continues in Master Keys 5:16 “To gain this estate, three processes are necessary: You must earnestly desire it.  You must assert your claim.  You must take possession.

Week 5 has introduced the Law of Giving and Receiving.  To get something, we must give something first, without the expectation of reciprocity.  Give freely everywhere we go, everyone we meet, all the time as illustrated in Master Key 5:25 “This power is from within, but we cannot receive it unless we give it.  Use is the condition upon which we hold this inheritance.  We are each of us but the channel through which the Omnipotent power is being differentiated into form; unless we give, the channel is obstructed and we can receive no more.  This is true on every plane of existence and in every field of endeavor and all walks of life.  The more we give, the more we get.”

All this is in total alignment with my analogy last week and ties in with Master Key 4.21 “…we must become a channel whereby the Universal can express activity.  The Universal is constantly seeking to express itself, to be of service, and it seeks the channel whereby it can find the greatest activity, where it can do the most good, where it can be of greatest service to mankind.”

In conclusion, the merchant who does not keep his goods going out will soon have none coming in.

Week 4 – The World Within

The challenge to go ALL IN, 100%, I CAN BE WHAT I WILL TO BE is really true!!

Master Key 4:4 states“…the real nature of the “I” is spiritual, and is the source of the real power, which comes to men and women when they come into a realization of their true nature.”  It goes on to say the greatest and most marvelous power this “I” has been given is the power to think but most people dwell on selfish thoughts, not in harmony with the Universal Intelligence,  on the contrary, this “I” is part of the Universal “I” thus the welfare of each  part depends upon the interest of the whole.  All this reinforces the fifth part of our Blueprint.

Week 4 also teaches us to be winners rather than failures.  We are to complete those things we begin and not start things we don’t intend to complete as illustrated in Master Key 4:12 “Unless you do this, you had better not start at all, because modern psychology tells us that when we start something and do not complete it, or make a resolution and do not keep it, we are forming the habit of failure; absolute, ignominious failure. If you do not intend to do a thing, do not start; if you do start see it through even if the heavens fall; if you make up your mind to do something, do it; let nothing, no one, interfere; the “I” in you has determined, the thing is settled; the die is cast, there is no longer any argument.”

I was able to prove this with one of my own experiences when our MKMMA classes first began.  One of my first chores at the beginning of this MKMMA class was to quit smoking after 55 years.  I accomplished this cold turkey on September 29, 2014 by stating that “I always keep my promises” and I have not desired a cigarette since.  The interesting thing about this is that when I made a decision to quit smoking and I emotionalized the thought;  it did become a Definite Major Purpose that I was seeking, no matter how small, and thus became a reality.

I must say that the Science we learned this week with the video on the neurons, peptides and how we form either positive or negative chains and they take over was incredible! ” Thoughts that fire together stay together” is the proof I needed to fully comprehend the feelings connection to our desires and speaking them to the frontal lobe.

In closing, not enough can be said about “Giving and Receiving”.  Master Key 4.21 “…we must become a channel whereby the Universal can express activity.  The Universal is constantly seeking to express itself, to be of service, and it seeks the channel whereby it can find the greatest activity, where it can do the most good, where it can be of greatest service to mankind.”  I pray that I be one of those channels the Universal Spirit uses.

I promise to keep these 4 promises:

Wherever I go I bring a gift.  I may bring a compliment, prayer, trinket, flower…But I promise I will give something to every person I encounter.

I promise to be a grateful receiver of the gifts that surround me, noticing nature,  Kindnesses, smiles and compliments, which I gladly receive with a “thank you.”

I promise to give the hope for joy, affluence, kindness and love, consciously with every encounter, regardless of the brevity.

I promise to give without expectation of reciprocity from the channels I enrich because I know I am in the dynamic flow of giving and receiving.

I always keep my promises.

Week 3 – Believe in Yourself

We are still in the early stages of the Master Key Master Mind Alliance course but the pieces are starting to fit together.

Understanding and learning that we have the true power to choose how we want to think and feel is empowering. I am responsible for everything in my life. The world within determines the world without. Now knowing this would be a risk of losing a lot out of life if not followed.

The readings are crossing over and I am finding links between them all with the exercises we are completing.  I am confident that this new habit of choice will only become easier as time presses on.

The first lesson for the day was to guard our Subconscious Mind.  Our Conscious Mind is the “Watchman of the Gate” and it’s responsibility is to protect our Subconscious Mind.  This was very interesting to me. I guess I kind of had it the other way around.  No wonder things were not working as I was expecting.

I find it interesting that the Master Key states that:“The Solar Plexus has been likened to the sun of the body, because it is a central point of distribution for the energy which the body is constantly generating.

Non-resistant thought expands the Solar Plexus; resistant thought contracts it.  Pleasant thought expands it; unpleasant thought contracts it. Thoughts of courage, power, confidence and hope all produce a corresponding state, but the one archenemy of the Solar Plexus which must be absolutely destroyed before there is any possibility of letting any light shine is fear.  He is the cloud which hides the sun, which causes a perpetual gloom.”

This is something that I can relate to.  Fear has been my worst enemy.  The one that has keep me down for so long. I look forward to absolutely destroying it.  This may be one of my most exciting moments.  This may be my 100% that I am looking for…

Thanks for reading.

Week 2 – Answers to Our Questions Begins

Again, being accepted into the MKMMA Scholarship program is a awesome blessing! It truly is a privilege.

So the number 1 question I had last week was “Why am I really here?” I am beginning to see the secret to that question lies within our subconscious mind and we have the keys to unlock the answer.

The Master Key Mastermind Alliance has it all in a package with daily tasks and weekly assignments. And they have Mark and Davene who are the inspiration and interpretation we all need. I was impressed with the guide’s contribution as well.

The PPN process was very interesting. I did not intuitively pick what I thought I would! I thought I would be lead to Spiritual Growth and True Health. I was lead to Legacy and Helping Others. I was surprised but my DMP steers more to helping others so I guess Mark does know what he is doing when he had us pick our PPN that way.

I am very excited about this experience and feel that I am ‘here’ for a reason. I wish I was exposed to this experience earlier in my life but perhaps the timing is just as it should be. At 72 and semi-retired I think a person still has a chance to search and become the best version of himself that he can be. I do feel mapping our blueprint at an earlier age would have been a more powerful experience in my youth. My mind is exploding like fireworks thinking of all the good that will be created and a way to change the world with positive thinking. Our lives are so wasted being influenced by negative thoughts like hatred, envy, greed, jealousy, selfishness. Hard work is required to accomplish change. ‘Wishing is not a strategy.

I am excited that MKMMA has me focused enough on the course with the exercises laid out for us. I now see the big picture with all the pieces connecting. The exact same stuff that I have been looking for many, many years in countless books and tapes but never managed to lay it out like a puzzle where all the pieces connect to each other.

With new awareness, I am observing the difference between allowing my thoughts to wander where they will, and controlling my thoughts into focused streams of desire. I am learning to let go, and let God. In quietude, I am also learning that the heart speaks words the ears can never hear.

I have long been a student of spirituality, and know that “our without is a true picture of our within”. For years, I just seem not to be able to master my “within” for long periods of time. I also know that when the pupil is ready the teacher appears. My plan is to hold my teachers closely, and never let them go, until I can say as in the words of the song: “I can see clearly now, the rain is gone”. For me this is a beautiful vision.

Week 1 – Why am I really here?

I owe it to myself and to the world to be the best possible version of myself that I can be and if that means diving into my thoughts and doing a little reprogramming then so be it!  This is why I am starting this blog to journal my journey through the Master Key Master Mind Alliance (MKMMA) program over the next 26 weeks.

I have asked that question many times.  Why was I brought to this earth?  What is my purpose?  I have never come up with a answer that I would buy.  I have read many books authored by the best and joined many groups to lead me to this conclusion but I have never come up with an answer.  I have spent a lot of money on positive thinking and self help books I even tried meditation and self hypnosis but in all my attempts I never brought anything to fruition.  Don’t get me wrong, anytime I spent money on developing my mind I considered it was a good investment.

My overall goal with this course is to discover why God created me and search what my Definite Major Purpose is while I am on this planet by utilizing the Universal Laws of the mind and disciplined actions: most notably reading several times daily and sitting still & quiet with concentrated focus on my goals.  Over the course of this journey I will be not only be changing my way of thinking but also my vocabulary.  There are many new words, phrases and acronyms that will be introduced into my life.

The difference I see in the MKMMA program and all others is what Mark referred to as the others teach you what to think vs MKMMA teaches us how to think.  I also feel with certainty that this is going to keep me focused with their experienced knowledge whereas I did not know how and where to focus my thoughts.
